Nacia Plisko
Visual Artist, Designer

Nacia Plisko is a visual designer. For the past ten years, she has mainly worked as a graphic designer, while also expressing her perception of the inner and outer world through various mediums such as paper pulp, illustration, and more.

The main themes in her art revolve around the connection between humans and nature - exploring vulnerability, sensitivity, and nudity as forms of power and equality, rather than weakness, as we are often taught.

Through her ongoing and evolving project “krukh”, she embraces the practice of slowness — from creating the main ingredient herself, paper pulp, to allowing the artworks to dry and take shape according to the season and the weather. The paper bends with humidity or dries too quickly under the sun, teaching her patience and a deeper connection with natural rhythms. As her work evolves, she finds herself shaping a style that carries a mystical, Cycladic-inspired character, reflecting both the environment of her birthplace, Ukraine, and that of her upbringing in Greece.

Recently, she presented her project “krukh” at the Domatio Show, featuring artworks made from recycled paper, repurposed materials, and plastic waste collected from beaches. The project aimed to raise awareness and highlight the creative potential of materials that already exist in our environment. She also participated in the group exhibition “Canvas Unbound” at Piree.
