Paperlocs
Paperlocs is a material-led publishing practice and graphic design studio based in Athens, founded in 2024 by Maria Rousounelou and Pavlos Lavithis. The studio makes handmade paper from offcuts and surplus material, and handles production in-house, from papermaking to printing and hand-sewn binding. Their work moves between publishing and interdisciplinary design, often letting the material itself set the terms of the design. Maria Rousounelou grew up in Mykonos before relocating to Athens; she and Pavlos Lavithis have worked together as graphic designers since 2023.
